  • Typing "glitches"

My day to day routine involves quite a bit of typing - emails, written briefs, etc etc, so I would have assumed that my typing should improve with time? However, it seems that my typing, like my hand writing is getting worse.

One particular word I have real problems with is the word "the". Several times I will look up from typing and see the word "teh" staring me in teh face (that one was deliberate!). Madness I know.

What do you have problems typing?

p.s. this post has taken me half an hour to draft/ re-draft.

p.p.s - why is the word used to describe a difficulty in spelling, so hard to spell?

I almost always type 'teh' for 'the' too, especially if I'm going at speed! I also often mistype words with double letters by doubling up the wrong one - in the post, I'd put 'spped' and 'leeters'.

There are also some words I just can't spell (not hard ones either ).

I once did a typing test in the Dutch language, they have words with 'eee' in them and strange combinations of letters (well, strange to an english typist). Took a bit of brain/hand over-ride to type some of the words!

For some reason I always type ahead and above as:- a head and a bove?? Subconsciously (phew!) I must be thinking that any word beginning with 'a' must be a seperate word! A cat, a mouse, etc

                            Weird or what?
