It seems like going to Uni is a big thing in moving people out of their local area. I've got 3 sisters who all went off to Uni, and none of them moved back here afterwards...

My cousin lives near Skipton, Sarwix - I do hope that it has not changed since I was there a few years ago - a fabulous market town and they have the BEST PORK PIE SHOP EVER but I can't remember the name. Overlooks the river.
My cousin & family lived in a cottage in the woods right by the Strydd (Strid? Stridde? Anyway - scarey (sorry Clare) fast flowing water course) on the Bolton Abbey estate (cousin in law was a landscape gardener working at the estate)
Must go back there.
Good thread this, BTW - even if it just shows me as a real homebody who's not moved out her own head, as it were...Last edited by Hazel at the Hill; 13-12-2007, 08:25 PM.
