I've got a couple of books which have Xmas facts in....
Here's one for Bubblewrap ( now I wonder why I thought of him???)
In the late 12th Century , Henry II had a fool called Roland le Pettour ( Roland the Farter), whose antics he enjoyed so much that he used to force him out of retirement on Christmas Day to perform his 'saltum,siffletum et pettum' ( a leap, a whistle and a fart).
Anyone do that as a family tradition????
