Glad to hear your dad's getting better & that you are doing fine Heywayne. I don't know about your doctor but at ours they always take your BP 3 times one after the other & the third is always the lowest & the one they note. It's usually because you've rushed to get there, been sitting there nervously waiting etc., that your first reading is higher (they call it white coat syndrome). Because my BP kept creeping up I had to wear a 24 hour monitor a few years ago & my BP was up & down like a yoyo while I wore it, it was mainly because I was aware of this thing on my arm & round my waist & was waiting for it to go off every hour, tightening round my arm & lying awake at night for the same reason.I managed to convince them of this & got off with just a bit of healthy living advice! I think you & Mrs H.W. can probably think of some more enjoyable form of exercise to fit in half an hour instead of a cross-trainer!

Well, neither of us enjoy treadmills, I'm not allowed to use rowing machines, we cycle when we can, but's it's agro undoing the three padlocks on the shed, then undoing the four chains on the bikes (after you've moved the lawnmower, my boots, the boxes of plant pots. Walking means passing the pub, running means passing the pub even sooner. I don't know what other CV workout we can do...
We've got a spare room upstairs that overlooks the back garden, so I reckon that'll be our "gym" for the forseable, until of course the other form of exercise means our spare room is otherwise occupied!A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

Glad to hear the good new HW - my boy! You and her ladyship just need to keep showing the parents what can be done with good fresh ingredients - and well done to your Dad for eating it all up, keeping of the smokes etc. Good news all round.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
