  • And The Winner Is...........

May I suggest that we owe everyone at Grow Your Own a Spanking Big THANK YOU for this fabulous year?

This year, and many more under each of your personal belts, obviously, very privileged, firstly, to be given access to such a fabulous forum site, and secondly, for those of us that do take the trouble to take part, to be members of this forum. And THEN to be given the opportunity this year to 'Strut Our Stuff' in an online 'Virtual Vegetable Show' (and our heartfelt thanks to you Snadger for the brilliant conception in your minds' eye... did it hurt? did it? did it?...!))

I'm confident that all of us, and everyone who took part in being a part of this forum, a part of reading the magazine, a part of being a friend to someone they've talked to, or taken the trouble to meet face to face, will join me now in wishing everyone
WE HAD A BLAST AND CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR?
    HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I'll second that. I enjoy this site not just for the gardening info but I can have a good laugh & people put up with my awful jokes.
Merry Christmas everyone & lets hope the growing weather is a little better next year!

Well put Wellie - you really have a way with words you know.

I agree totally with all of it. This forum is the only link I have with other gardeners and I really value the help I get from all the grapes. It is also great fun.

Oh, and the magazine is great to read while soaking the aches in the bath

Merry Christmas and here's to a better growing year in 2008

I am very new girl, still the new girl I guess but what a superb find it has been. So many lovely people with really helpful advise and what appears to be almost a collective (eeek - have we been assimilated by the Borg!) humour.

In just a couple short weeks of being here I have made soome fabby friends and so yes, very much a big thank you GYO and Wellie

My second home this - all in under a year. I get twitchy if I can't log on for a day or two.

Merry Christmas to all our Readers!

Agree totally - in this, my first year allotmenteering, this site has been an invaluable source of advice, support with a splash of humour (ok, a ruddy great lug of it if truth be known), and the magazine is without equal in my opinion.

Well done, each and every one of you!

                And thanks.

Seconded here as well. I'm not sure I would have got very far in my first year without the help, advice and laughs along the way from the forum and all the info in the mag. Plus I feel priviledged to have met all the lovely people making up this forum, what a fantastic bunch you are! SO thank you for a great forum, a great mag, and for helping make veggie growing such a great hobby!

A very merry, peaceful christmas to you all.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

Can I add my voice to the throng too. It's lovely to be able to chat with everyone here. I don't get the mag but I'm sure it is great too. It's good to be able to keep in touch with the goings on in "the old homeland" and get gardenting tips and hints from so many experts.

We have a laugh too especially on SNC - Thanks Mods for taking the time to keep us in order

And, last but not least - I wouldn't have met the Wonderful Wellingtons and Huggable Hazel had it not been for this forum so spechly thanks for that.

My garden and lottie haven't fared very well this year due to a mixture of personal circumstances and awful weather buuuuut, it will soon be another year and I can have another go .

I really missed this site when BT threw their toys outta the pram and I was offline for 7 weeks.

I might be able to work out an avatar sometime.

So (((hugs))) to everyone and a great growing Noo Year.

Oh and have a good Christmas. I won't be around as I'm off to Spain for the party season.

                              Oh, I couldn't agree more!

As some of you might be vaguely aware, the past twelve months have been 'the best of times, the worst of times' for me but but the 'Vine has been a true source of inspiration, comfort and companionship.

I look forward to many more years together!

I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
