  • A load of muck!

I might have managed to secure myself a delivery of a horsebox full of manure from a local stable - f.o.c.

    I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it - I know, I know, I know, I want poo!

A 32 year old man getting all excited about a horsebox full of cr@p.

Don't you be standing in it when it arrives! You don't need to grow any taller!

Nice one Wayne. Don't know if someone has had a delivery round here but there's a terrible smell outside in our street, there are farms & stables in the town but not that near!
Into every life a little rain must fall.

HW, do you mean horsebox or horse trailer? My horsebox is a seven and a half tonner, imagine how much muck I could get in that, you'd be shovelling all over Christmas!

I'm sure the lady said Horsebox...

Spoke to her yesterday, and she seems really pleased that she's found somewhere to get rid of it. The plan is, she's going to deliver it on Saturday and she'll let me have whatever I want. She has a load of just manure (fairly fresh), and some mixed with hay, in bags I think. I'm having the bagged stuff.

I've said that whatever I don't want can be dumped (there's an area where other loads have been dumped before now), but I am going to check with the "head allotmenteer" (what do you call them?) that it's ok first.

            I'm quite pleased with myself.

I have freecycle to thank! I'd not been much of a freecycle fan - I'd only ever received thousands of e-mails about stuff I had no interest in, and to be fair, I'd never really been after anything.

Just thought I'd have a look and low and behold there were a couple of listings...
