  • Re: The Gardeners Rest

I am in Benidorm. It is bloody freezing and Pi&&ing down. Remeniscent of our delightful summer. The woman I was supposed to meet has turned her bloody phone off. The others arent turning up til tomorrow. I would love to be in The ´Rest with a handsome prince, warming myself by a roaring log fire.

Instead im on a widders get together, cold, wet, lonely and miserable, and I want to be at home.

    Janie

PS and trying to use a keyboard where the letters have worn off and isnt the same as ours.

    Poor, poor Janie,
Sending over some warm thoughts - still, should be good tomorrow when all the others arrive.
Hang on in there, Christmas will be here soon to take your mind off the cold weather.

      Sounds like bliss!!!!

You should be here...far too much to do and in too little time and student kids bringing home at least 8 washerloads of washing and drying and ironing!!!!

I'm sure things will pick up Janie- '24 hrs of peace and quiet and time to myself'.....that sounds bliss to me!!

Catch up with your sleep if you can- you'll be the life and soul of Xmas if you do!!!

AND...go and spend some money on yourself...'cos your worth it!

Join us on the SNC tonight for company- I'll try to get on it but the family are home and we have visitors.

      Merry Xmas to you!!

Raid the mini bar, surf some shopping sites and have some totally indulgent 'you' time.

Hope you feel more cheery soon.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom

I've come to take you home."

Trust me this isnt i bit of a shower. This is seriously torrential.

                  Mini bar, mini bar.

Cos of the trouble I had when some sh1thead cloned my card earlier this month, I couldnt have access to my money in time to book a decent hotel and the ATM swallowed the other one the month before. So Im in some grotty apartments with no bar, restaurant or any facilities. Its part of the same group as the hotel the others are in (and where I am now), so I can use their facilities. Trouble is its half a mile away and I get really drenched just going out to forage for food, G&T etc. I dried my fleece with a hairdrier today but the cuffs are still wet.

Shopping is a good idea. Theyll be open again tomorrow. At least theyll be dry and warm inside.

Right Im off to the bar with me book and crossword puzzle.

                  Ill, post again later.

It's Benidorm, Manda - suspect that chips are the order of the day rather than tapas!!

Ah Hazel, youve got that right. Bournemouth airport had no snacks (as in sarnies, baguettes) and their cooked fare was: fish n chips, sausage n chips, chili n chips. I hate chips. What is wrong with chili n rice?

I found a restaurant open (OMG) that served stuff without chips (again OMG).

Ive decided to make the best of it til the others arrive tomorrow. I can at least go shopping in the morning. The shops will be open again.

Perfume, I only brought one bottle and it broke in transit. My washbag smells nice! They also burst my tube of foundation, hey, who needs makeup anyway.

In case I dont get back on line. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to everyone.

On a furrin pooter so dont know how to send a greetings thingy.
