Enjoy reading forum.Allotment people are the nicest people you can meet,Moved all over the country with my job,so have started up lots of plots. Now retired and living in Southampton where this is my second allotment in 9yrs due to part time working.
Have indulged in homemade wine, beer, bacon sarnies, bacon & eggs, coffee, tea and Welshcakes and with my allotmenteers have sorted out all the troubles of the world.
The wife even comes now and loves it.The grandchildren enjoy picking the produce, especially helping with the yearly Autumn bonfire.
Tried sweetcorn for the first time.Never seen anything grow so quick.Harvested 70.wont grow so many next time.
Hope to contribute in the future.
    Good Luck.

Welcome to the Vine Grandad Wales. Hope you enjoy our company. Lots of good people on here, good advice and friendly banter. See you're in Southampton now, where does the Wales come into it? (if you don't mind me asking - if you do then tell me to butt out, I won't mind).
