Gardening wise I got nothing but then I can buy it all through my business so can't complain. Got a new set of binoculars though, and some thermal long johns !!
Plus
About 7 tons of manure (delivered)
A watering system(save having to get hose pipe out)
15 Railway sleepers (for manure heap)
Glass for greenhouse (still not moved it)
A second shed (for storing produce in)
I suppose a small lottery win would help to pay for these items one slight snag I rarely buy a ticket!
No gardening pressies for me either this year, did well to get a pressie at all out of hubby to be (who i sent out on Xmas eve to buy me one when he confessed that he "hadn't bothered as my birthday was the week before! miserable sod!!)
However would have liked:
*Large greenhouse
*All the thingymebobs to go in above greenhouse
*A nice person to dig me a couple more veg beds
*Another nice person to dig me some more flower beds
*Third nice person to plant my 3 apple trees & 1 asian pear tree that haven't arrived yet (which come to think about it should be counted as xmas pressies, just haven't recieved them yet)
*And a mushroom kit, as after reading one of the other thread i quite fancy having a go at one!
I just want a new spine with some nice new shiny discs. Not much to ask i hear you say, but think of all the digging and planting and weeding etc etc etc, one could do with one of those new tools. oops, sorry, just having one of those dreamy moments. I did get some national garden gift vouchers though, which i will look forward to swapping for goodies in the spring time ;-)
"He that but looketh on a plate of ham and eggs to lust after it hath already committed breakfast with it in his heart"
I want the rock fairy to visit my garden one night and nick off with all the rocks lurking under the soil here - the only real problem in my garden other than patches of clayish soil.
And the shed fairies to reorganise my current shed and to build the two new sheds/small barns I'm going to build over the next two years.
Tony, why not apply for lottery funding to employ the Everything Fairy. Get it all in one go! I really could do with an Everything Fairy. You decide you want one thing, get it all sorted, then suddenly, something else occurs to you - or needs doing after the previous thing (as in The Gas Man Commeth!). I've stopped just wishing for the moon when there are all those stars that want claiming too!
