  • Christmas Eve in Whitby A&E :(

...having an ECG and generally being a total drama queen

Seems I'm a bit of a sick bunny, double whammy! I had campylobactor back in August, kept meaning to go back to docs but - well, you know how it is. It came back full on on Christmas Eve and in addition to that I have lost (totally) my voice

    I can't drink, I can't talk, I can't eat - any ideas on what I can do

Hope you all had a superb Christmas thus far

    Have you tried gardening
Seriously though, that's terrible - I hope you're feeling better soon.

Oh dear, poor you!!! Hope you are over it soon.

Guess your best bet is to sit with the seed catalogues and decide what you are going to plant in your new lottie (assuming you get one).

      Take better care of yourself!

That sounds like no fun at all!!!

I think you definitely deserve a prolonged session surfing (and buying from!) whatever online shops take your fancy. Hope you're feeling much better soon.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

cheers guys - seed catalogues and a cup of tea it is!

I'm supposed to be meeting up with Wellie & Trousers on Saturday, I doubt this will happen unless we see a vast improvement tomorrow. Does anyone know if she is around? I have sent a PM but don't have any other contact details for her. Mind you, it could be fun meeting up for the first time with me alternating between whisper mode and seal impersonation

            Uck.

Had to look campylobacter up on Wikipedia, then wish i hadn't... It showed me a close up picture of the bug.

You had severe food poisoning you poor thing. Take it easy for goodness sake.

            Bet you lost some weight.

Hope you get well soon. I also had a google for campywotsisname....how did it 'return' if its a form of bacterial infection, have you been eating raw chicken?

Seriously it sounds like its 'sofa time'!

Because I was a bad bad girl and didn't go to docs when I got the results which said 'go to your docs if you haven't already had a course of anti-biotics' and well erm I sort of kept getting 'better' or so I thought and well - there we are

Piskie, bad move if you do, the body life of the medication will take you into 1st January and if I were in your position, I'd have a quieter and booze free evening.

And of course, you should have gone back to the Docs, silly billy, if you had done so you'd almost certainly not had to suffer to much after the past few days!!!!

Aha, the perfect woman is found at last.

Seriously though I hope you get well soon, Wellie and Trousers were with us until yesterday afternoon but should be alive and well unless I have given them my flu.
