With regard to my 10 stone weight loss program, well the first weigh in was on New years day and will be undertaken every Saturday from now on.

Anyway, after todays weigh in I have lost 5 1/2 lb of blubber.

    Come on Jennie, catch up.

I weighed myself a week ago and again today - put on 1lb! Alas - but now the cake's all eaten up it's back to my usual fruit, veg, etc. Might manage to lose a bit but won't catch you up at this rate!

                  What a great thread,
                  My NYR's are...
To spend more time playing with my children, on my bike, meditating, laughing, being grateful and enjoying life ( not simulataniously!!)
To spend less time worrying, nagging, moaning and trying to loose weight.

                  Happy new me!!!

I know this is an old thread !

I was wondering how many of the posters kept their resolutions? Mine is the same every year: to pick up at least one piece of litter every day. If everyone did this, there'd be 60 million fewer bits of litter on our streets.

I've added another: to do some voluntary dogwalking. I've offered walkies informally to friends and acquaintances, but this year I'm extending my leash to the housebound elderly.
I like giving to charity, but with money tight I'm now giving my time instead of my pennies.

Lots of volunteer vacancies in your area here

I think that was the beginning of the year that ended with me having a broken ankle? I've not made any resolutions since then
