  • Will anyone else be online at the stroke of midnight?

With four wee ones asleep upstairs, I won't be hitting the town tonight!

I'm happy to raise a glass with Jools Holland at midnight but if anyone else will be around, that would be fun too

I'm celebrating not just the New Year but also the fact that I've survived a whole entire year since the front room was redecorated with pie, chips and baked beans and my (soon to be) ex walked out the door. In fact I haven't just survived, I've positively prospered!

Shout up if you'll be here and I'll line the drinks up
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

We are going out but unsure if we will stay out till the new year (all feeling a bit rubbish). Will pop online when we get back in anyway.

Good New Year to all grapes

Me and the Minister For Home Affairs will be at home by ourselves with the squids tucked up in bed trying to find something half decent to watch to telly.A particularlly nice malt has been selected and the ice cube trays have been filled .Herself has selected a nice bottle of red and a glass .

Happy New Year to you all .

Keep the noise down in the morning .

Will be online if I'm still awake! Or maybe even if I've fallen asleep.

A very Happy New Year to all, and SR 'Lang may yer lum reek' right back at yer! (What does it mean btw?)

"lang may yer lum reek, wi' ither fowks' coal"!

......this would translate as "long may your chimney smoke, using coal donated by other people"

If you want to start the party early, don't forget that all the French/Dutch grapes will be starting New Year an hour before you. We've already toasted the New Year with our friends in Oz!
We'll still be here at "your" Midnight but if we don't speak - Have a great one.

Happy New Years to you all. We were going out, party booked, taxi booked, then OH realised he didn't really want to go out in the cold with a load of strangers after all. Relief all round! He's now drinking Jack Daniels + Baileys (that may come back to haunt him), and I'm on the remains of Harvey's Bristol Cream. Raising a glass of it to all you right now! Enjoy, wherever you are, Salut!
