You up North have all the fun! It's bitterly cold here in Devon and I've been telling my grandson"If it warms up it will snow" so here's hoping.(but only for his sake!!)
We had a few flakes of snow around 8.30 this morning but it stopped after about 15 mins., looked threatening a few times & freezing cold, icy wind but nothing else.
It is Snowing lightly here in nt warks at the moment but don't think it will be much i can still hear traffic on M6 and when it snows proper we don't here that jacob

Just been out with the dog, called into lottie on way past. It did look pretty Came down even heavier on the way back, I ended up looking like a snow lady!
One thing about snow.........my allotment is as good as anybodies when there's 2 foot of snow on it!
Took me 2 hrs to make a 20 minute journey today! The only snow we've had this year and the council have been caught napping with the gritters! A1 even had to be closed because it was a sheet of ice!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
No snow here in East Anglia yet. Few bits of sleet late this morning here on the coast, but it's been drizzling since around 5 o'clock. Feels cold, but I think that is due to the wind.
Thanks for sharing your photos, I like to see snow, would be great for my little grandsons but none in Norfolk- 3c and damp. Lotty looks snug though with a heavy covering of leaf mould this year, free from the council. Happy new veg everyone! actiongran.

There was a 7 car pile-up on our by-pass the other week, at about 7.30am, because of black-ice. The gritters went trundling past our house at 8am...??!! Is someone forgetting to look at the forecast, is the forecast wrong, or is it all cost-cutting & they don't want to pay for over-time?
OH was quite happy about the A1 being shut - meant that he turned round at Ripon, & was home early If he'd gone up to Morpeth he wouldn't have been home til after 8!
Theres plenty here in Cramlington, in fact driving home tonight there were a few places where it has flooded quite badly and thawed, so can guess what it will be like tomorrow frozen over
Dad works in Morpeth, and had hardly any snow (despite the fact the A1 was closed from the Seaton Burn junction to Morpeth strangely enough!), and yet I work in Shiremoor (or New York to be precise!) and like Cramlington it has been blizzard after blizzard. Very weird how just a mile or so can make a BIG difference.
Actually, we also had an interesting weather event too. Anyone ever experienced a thunderstorm whilst in a snow blizzard??? Happened this morning at 10.45am. Everyone looked at each other with the first flash thinking what the heck!!!
