  • SNOW! Have you got any yet??!

The kids are ecstatic as it's snowed enough for a snowball fight! Not quite enough for sledging yet, but we're hopeful What a lovely end to the holidays!

Nothing yet, but it's chuffing cold.

Looking forward to my 5 mile/2 hour commute home though when it does snow later (as forecast).

As much as i love snow normally, i really don't want it to snow today - i've got to get to the solicitors at 4.30 to exchange contracts for my new house!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for wet drizzle until 5.30 - then the heavens can open for all i care!

We had enough for a snowball fight earlier too! The kids loved it
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Fingers crossed here too, it takes long enough to get to 'exchange' - good luck!

We have snow here too. Going to the lottie in a minute to cut the first savoy cabbage of the season, so I will probably bring back some other things, just in case it's difficult over the next day or two.
The kids are, sadly, too old to appreciate snow, and the grandkids still too young, but the dogs love a good romp around in it so I will take them out to the field later when it's a little deeper
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

No snow here just bitterly cold gale force winds. My little grand-daughter, who will turn 4 in the next two weeks has never seen snow and can't wait for the day it snows here.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Looks like it has bypassed us - bloomin cold though 2 degrees with a 40 knot wind probably around -20!

Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn't know that so it goes on flying anyway.

We've got snow. Enough for multiple snow ball fights. Local main road (old A1) described on Radio 5 as passable, and further north the A1M motorway has been closed northbound between Newcastle and Morpeth! The sky keeps brightening though so it looks quite pretty. Forecast for more tomorrow.
