Oh Scarey55, how sweet of you! Please do look after Shirls - she had tears in her eyes this morning. How she hates me going away...

But I will not be too far away this time as I am going to Holland, Breda to be precise. Consulting to Ericsson again. So I will be 1 hour flight away or a days drive. I might try to meet up with Momol as I have family near her. We shall see how time is.

Again Scarey55, thanks a lot! I know Shirls finds comfort in the Vine and the community spririt of you guys makes her feel a lot better.

Ohhh, Shirl .... as already said, we're here. No substitute for the real thing but hopefully we can raise a smile. Go see Wellie, that'll DEFINITELY make you smile! How long til Madmax is back?

And Wellie - next time I'm in FofD with my campervan... watch out!!!
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

Whoops! Was trying to convey the shortness of the time, not the finality implied by goodbye. Don't speak Hollandaise!

I am flying back for 4 days on the 14th - Back to NL on the 18th. Then home again 15 days later. And I will follow this boring pattern until the 30th June, or we move to NL. Not a clue yet.

And again, Wellie... I hope Shirls takes you up on your invite! Even better if I can be home with her too.

Blimey, how did I miss that offer!!! Must have been drowning my sorrows and not paying attention to the vine.

Thanks to everyone for your good wishes. Now settling into what passes for Madmax away routine (yelling at kids, laundry, cooking).

Might just take you up on that invite Wellie - but would have to be when Madmax is home as I know he would love to meet fellow grapes as much as I would. Will watch his flight times and see if we can tootle on up to you following me collecting him from CWL one day (if he ever makes an early flight)!
                    Happy Gardening,
                    Shirley

See Wellie (in her last day(s) as Her Royal Momliness?!) jump SO up and down, at the thought that Trizers, me and the cat should be able to meet more than three Grapes at once, that she's had to mop her brow with a damp edition of The Radio Times....

...and Shirl, we'll actively WAIT on Madmaxie's return for the pleasure sweetheart.
Perhaps you and me could arrange it? I'll PM you shortly, or you PM me.....?
Oh, now that's what I call a LOVELY start to the New Year...
