  • Booking a holiday?

Apparently today is the busiest day for booking holidays. We booked ours yesterday (well, LadyWayne did), two weeks in a Tuscan villa with some friends, can't wait! Only problem is, I have to wait. Until September.

Never mind, it'll be worth the wait!

    Booked anything yet?

We're intending to visit the Hereford area - passed through it going to a wedding last year and thought it would bear a closer look. Haven't booked yet!

Going to Rome in July (surprise birthday party for a friend). Don't know how we're all going to get there without her knowing. I suspect we'll have to fly from separate airports.

Hoping to go on a cruise in November. Terry Wogan's Togs Cruise.

We're off to a holiday cottage in Wales in the Easter hols - the weather was glorious last time we went, but Easter is earlier this year, so it may be wellies & waterproofs??!!

This is where we're going, I'd recommend the area to anyone, it's beautiful, but first time at this particular cottage.
Hopefully we'll squeeze in a week of camping in the summer hols too

That looks really nice Sarah - very pretty. We've often discussed a pretty little cottage holiday, the only problem for us is that very often they were built before really tall people like me were discovered. Them, and narrow boats (which I also like the idea of, but can't do).

Hope the weather holds out for you!

We once had a hol in the New Forest in a gorgeous cottage but my (actual rather than virtual!) son wore his cycling helmet in the kitchen because the ceiling was so low!

You just need to find a converted chapel, or schoolhouse, they have really high ceilings!

The OH is always wanting to go "Abroad", but really the kids are only just getting old enough to go away without a truckload of gear, and it's so flippin expensive... Maybe next year, if we can save up enough (hahahahaha) we'll get a nice villa in Spain somewhere. I can speak the lingo, & the kids are learning too which makes life easier!

Oooo no, not even looked at the brochure yet, oops

Mind you, I'm waiting for my next batch of Mr T Clubcard vouchures to arrive. I've been savvy with my points collecting and it's their pleasure to pay for our hols this year, yay! Mind you, only on these isles, but hey, it'll be fab

We quite often do (or did, before we got the 'van!) cottage holidays in the UK and found some really pretty ones over the years. Anyone interested, just google holiday cottages or similar, there are loads of websites out there (one of my favs is English Country Cottages covering the whole country). Any holiday is fab in my opinion, away from the office and housework equals pleasure!!

If anyone is interested TOH and I have floating timeshare and we are allowed to 'give away' holidays.

Before you all start pounding on my email.....

The 'give away' consists of a voucher which allows you to book accomodation for one week in Spain (Costa del Sol or Tenerife) or for a weekend or mid-week break in England for £150. The accomodation will sleep 4. You have to get yourself to and from the holiday, the appartment will be self catered and you have to sit through an hour and a half 'lecture' about timeshare....

The other catch is you must be between 30 and 65 and have a joint income of £25K+.

If anyone is still interested drop me a PM and I'll give you the full details and see about posting off a voucher.....

                              Terry
The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!
