No real indication of spring here yet; the temperatures are mild, but the weather is wet, miserable and dark. Still, our local garden centre did have it's seeds on display today along with soft-fruit bushes/canes and little pots of snowdrops, so the signs are there I suppose.
No seed potatoes yet though, - I always start to feel spring-like when I buy the spuds.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Do you mean they're flowering Aloice, or just the green bits? If they're flowering then that does seem early to me, we usually get the odd one towrds the end of Jan. beginning of Feb., only got the leaves at the mo. Here's a pic. of some of the snowdrops in bud now.

Sure don't feel like Spring up here today - gale force winds and driving sleet - if this is Spring, I'm gonna emigrate !!

Our Daffs have been up for what seems like a few weeks now - no flower buds yet, but the leaves are around 4-6 inches long now.

I've seen what I thought were cherry trees in bloom this morning funnily enough. It's usually dark when I drive to work, so I don't/haven't noticed, but this morning I set off a bit later.

            I do love spring.

Not complaining about the weather we have up here just now as it is only to be expected - just suprised that some of my fellow grapes are already hailing the arrival of Spring - only just recovering from the New Year, and an any case, I believe that the worst of the winter weather in recent years has arrived in February. As for thermal kilts, they are already thermal - 8yds of pleated heavy material traps a lot of hot air
PS - my lil sis gave me 2 sets of thermals for my Chrimbo.

How have you faired with the wind? I don't mean the Jerusalem Artichoke kind either!

Looking at the wether report this morning, gusts have been ferocious!

To be fair, it's very windy here with gusts up to 70mph but it's been much worse in Central Scotland with Argyll and Tayside suffering the most.

Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn't know that so it goes on flying anyway.

My flowering currant is in full flower, it looks gorgeous (even if it does smell of cats pee!)
