Central Lincoln one is just a few mins away I've already bought a fair proportion of their new gardening stock!

Their home delivery service is ace for compost and other weighty stuff too.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery

I've come to take you home."

May I add that I've even bought a watch for £5 and it came with a guarantee! It was a last ditch attempt to do away with branded watches(Japanese, Swiss, Ralph Lauren) that always fail on me . For a £5 watch, works absolutely okay but the catch keeps coming loose and have dropped it on several occasions so I use it as pocket watch.

          I haven't got one

No Wilko in my town, I'd probably live there if we did. When I visit the family over Huntingdon I pop in if I have time (which is rarely). Must find one closer.

Just checked the Wilko site. Nearest one Bishops Stortford.

I went to my local one yesterday. Half the Christmassy shelves still had Christmassy sale stuff on and some were bare but they were gradually filling with garden stuff. this small store doesn't sell the home-brew stuff - I have to go into Hull for that - but I get my Young's yeast from there. Grand stuff.
Smacked my hand a lot but still came out with a packet of Parmex carrots (to grow in a shallow fish box) and a 'brick' of oasis for the soon-to resume village flower arranging class.
            Useful shop indeed.
