  • Proof I was cute once upon a time

A discussion at work resulted in me bringing in some photos of me as a baby. Just thought I'd share, what with all the posts regarding babies and birthdays. Plus I thought it might get a few "ahhhs"

This is me at 3 days old being held by my cousin.

...and me about a year later, already showing signs of being a grumpy git:

...and finally, another year on and clearly loving fruit and veg at an early age (2ish):

    'Ahhh!' indeed

And didn't you have some fabulous 70s decor?! Love your Mum's hair and outfit too (assume that's Mum holding you in pic #2?).
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Yeah, that's Mum. I grew up in various shades of brown, yellow and orange it seems. No wonder they're my least favourite colours now.

I still get that outfit out for LadyWayne if she's been really good!

              Ok, one more!

This is me at 6 weeks:

This was taken when I actually fitted in the bouncer thing. There is a photo (in the same series as the "grumpy" one) taken a year later where my feet are hanging out of the bottom of the bouncer as I started to grow....

Oh, and I still have that tiger and it still works. (it's a mother and baby tiger - you pull the baby tiger away on a cord and it slowly goes back whilst playing a tune as the mothers head rolls round)

You can see the long legs starting in that last pic. Wayne. I think you have a look of your mum in the pic. in the 'my gran knitted me this' jumper!

I do look more like my Mum than my Dad definitely - it's the nose. Brother and sister both look more like Dad though. Weirdly, if you look at photos of my uncle (Mum's brother) when he was my age, we look very similar, and we're not even from Norfolk!

My daughter is the spitting image of my sister and people often mistake them for mother and daughter, it may be the blonde hair, I'm a brunette.

Yep, I recognise that 70s decor too! And the 'knitted by gran' tops. Are you eating your fruit in the last piccie? Or practicing the tongue in cheek look maybe?
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance
