That's brilliant!!! And who'd have thought it would work?? Hmmm, you've got me thinking now - my MIL could really do with 'something to do'...

It is great isn't it? And it would never have happened if I hadn't had the vine to have a rant in, as I probably then wouldn't have gone on to mention it to my friend. Mum's already talking about buying a larger freezer to store all those raspberries in (she bought 20 'Autumn Bliss' canes this afternoon!) She has a juicer and loves to make her own juice when she can, but that usually just means using our surplus as supermarket soft fruit is so ridiculously expensive. She was also looking at a white currant bush, which is a miracle in itself as, of course, currants 'should be black' - naturally she didn't actually buy it, but it has to be a step in the right direction.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

What a result! And now she's got her own plot, she's looking at stuff she can't find in the shops, that's fabulous!

                    Not very abundant croppers then?

Oh yes, you get loads of them, but they're small like peas and shrink a bit more when you cook them!! Worth it tho, in my humblest of. They (or at least mine did) sprawl around all over the ground and have lovely little flowers on them before the 'fruits' appear.
