    For smaller qty, Wilko sells them for under £1.50, same for Perlite. I have been looking at them for seed sowing. Sorry not sure about larger qty and someone will hopefully reply.

      I understand it's not a particularly 'green' thing to use. Can't remember the details - Alice mentioned it last year. I never use it anyway.

        Ouch, just been using some vermiculite to mix in with my compost and I did not read instructions about damping it down before use. Guess what... it caused aburning sensation up my nose. It has calmed down now. SO BEWARE damp down before use if not you end up with a burny nose...... or better still use a respirator if you are very sensitive

          You would be better off looking at either N.A Kays site or LBS Garden Warehouse. Much cheaper.
          I used 250 litres of vermiculite from LBS last year with no ill effects - maybe horticultural grade vermiculite differs slightly from that offered for packaging materials ?
