HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL PEOPLE,

gardening by moonlight wearing nothing but novelty chocolate flavoured wellies is NOT excentric

I've done this for years. It's sometimes the only way to have a decent conversation with a like minded individual.

I've been telling the OH that for years!

Well there you are then- there's nowt wrong with asking an expert for their advice!!
The fact that you are blessed with telepathic abilities is a bonus!

Time we enrolled some of the fair sex on our allotment site methinks.

Somehow, a bunch of wrinkly pensioner blokes dancing around in the nude wearing only chocolate wellies doesn't conjure up a very pleasant mental image eek:
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Does gardening make you eccentric or do you have to be eccentric to want to garden?

Maybe both. Bit of a chicken and egg situation?

Of course we are eccentric. However that is according to the rest of the population. I think we are completely normal and the rest of them are out of step.

I agree, it's the rest of the world that's out of step with us - eccentric, with thousands of packets of seeds, buying the most bizarre tools, diving down skips, scrounging pallets, telling our friends 'don't throw that away, got just the use for that (insert name of item as necessary (so to speak)) ........

Well, a tad eccentric perhaps but compared to the majority of the people in the Uk and Europe, perfectly sane when it comes to the food we grow and eat
