Ohh... I was looking forward to reading my copy of the newsletter when I got home, but didn't get sent one...? When did everyone get theirs?

You are a 'real' gardener Rat, you know more than 'your onions'! Noticed you said your FIRST stag night, how many are you planning to have? Has Glasgow recovered yet?

Am having a blackening this weekend - for those of you not familiar with this ritual, all my mates and work colleagues sneak up on me, strip me to my boxers, tie me to a chair, put that on a trailer and drive me round the town whilst pelting me with the vilest concoction they can think of. Previous concoctions have included deer guts, purple potato dye, chicken ****, giblets etc etc - most pleasant - followed by a hosing down and then lots of alcohol - should be good - will let you all know if I survive

I thought a blackening meant you got covered in tar and dragged around town.

Just received my MOM goody bag - Ben contacted me to let me know they were running really behind but what with the wedding et al, I wasn't that worried.
Got 4 books on organic growing - veggies, fruit, allotments and composting, Anthony Worral Thompsons book of barbecues, DVD of gardening hints, Garden Detective PC CD-ROM, "Downshifting to the Good Life" book and some seeds for both Iona and me. Happy Rat
