Snadger, I am so sorry to read that, not sure if it was better for you to be there or not but probably better for Kes.

I know and understand exactly where you are having said goodbye to my equine companion of 30 years in May last year.

Please accept my best wishes and I hope you are able to remember the best of times.

    Biggest hugs to you.

Oh, Snadger, I'm so, so sorry.

Having gone through this recently myself with my lovely boy I know just how you're feeling. At least you were with her, as I was with him, although I knew it would be devastating, I had the idea that I'd brought him home as a puppy and I'd be there at the end. It was awful at the time, but I'm glad that I was now and, in time, you'll be glad too, it means you've fulfilled her trust in you. There is still a huge Labrador shaped hole in my life, but I consider myself lucky to have been his mum.

              My thoughts are with you

Sorry for your loss Snadger.Having had many working collies over the years I know how hard it is when you lose a good dog .
My thoughts are with you at this sad time.
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

Oh dear Snadger- I thought you'd been quiet today and I've just logged on esp to see how she was getting on.
                        I'm really sorry.
Bless her-it's so good you were with her, she must have felt so safe in your arms.
Think of the fun and tender times you had together- it will help a bit.
Hope today goes ok for you.
