All we have is stratus - the big grey blanket. Its drizzling with rain too. Its not good...

Has anybody read the cloudspotters guide? I'd recommend it - especially for bedtime reading Zzzzzzz - but it is quite good and makes you think differently when you look at the sky.

I find cloud watching good, it can be relaxing and works the imagination. Mind you, when I say to Snowdrop 'can you see so and so in that cloud' he gives me that 'there there dear, never mind' look

From where I'm sitting right now I can't even see the sky, just the side of victoria station. It's looking pretty grey, though. Roll on home time

Sky here - or sorry - cloud here, is uniform drab grey. Blowing another hooligand and not let up raining all night and day. Just got back from dropping Madmax at the airport (okay so I stopped at Wyevale and our local garden centre on the way back to cheer myself up)

Would love to see shaped clouds again - oh well, one day!

Had a heavy downpour during the morning again, but it has been dry enough for a while now - the concrete paths a few floors down are starting to dry out and the puddles are gone again.

I can't see a thing, the rain and wind have temporarily blinded me!

Matt & Piskie are both within spitting distance of where I work so are likely to have the same blanket over them as me. The ground outside my office window looks relatively dry at the mo but it still looks cold, damp and miserable .

I've had a look at the weather forecast and it looks as if Sunday is going to be the best day for the next week. As this is the only day I have spare I will go and have a look at the lottie and if possible do some work. Digging if the azada I've ordered turns up, or starting to clear a space to put the greenhouse on otherwise .

Winged One. its hard to believe the weather can differ so much in the same city. Its still gusting and blowing hazy rain along with it here.

And your hands begin to harden.

Bramble, well, the rain is just stopping again here after another massive downpour, so the paths are covered in puddles again. I was going to go out and buy some lunch (late admittedly) when it started and it's too late to bother now. I've found occasionally though that even the difference between city centre and DL (oh, about 6 miles by road) can be huge - bone dry to sodding wet. Or slippery icy to just chilly (that's usually DL to city though).

I think I'd nearly prefer a straightforward windy drizzle all day and retreat to a warm fire tonight instead. Might get a firepak anyway, and a bottle of red for accompanying the pasta tonight (I never get to mention my dinners on the SNC, so I thought I'd mention it on friday instead!).

I though that was "a soft day" in Ireland .
