Funny you should say that, Piskie - I was only thinking 10 mins ago 'well, look at that - it's not dark yet!'. Pretty much dark now, tho', but IT IS GETTING LIGHTER IN THE EVENINGS!
Big fluffy grey blanket over here. And it's windy, cold and damp. No rain at the mo which is just as well. If it starts persisting down again I'm off home as the road is already flooded. I don't want to be stuck at work for the weekend .

A big grey blanket here today as well. Gale force winds and driving hazy rain coming in gusts with the wind. The type of rain that really soaks you in minutes. Not a white fluffy cloud in sight.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

Poor you bramble - on the southside (well, south of the Liffey but city centre) it is dry and fairly calm, with the could having lifted somewhat to a pale grey blanket higher up in the sky than this morning. So it could turn nicer in a little while (I was dealing with drizzle coming in this morning from Dun Laoghaire).
