Gratz ^_^ We just harvested some rhubarb, but I still have no idea what to do with it. Maybe boil it with some apple and sugar. Heheheh.

Okay NTG, you provide the vodka I'll donate the slugs. Should have enough for a few thousand gallons or so.

Its a great feelilng Vikki, serving up your own produce. I had a super lettuce for lunch today and a leek gratin for tea tonight.

Rhubarb Crumble - I always put a tin/ or fresh strawberries in with the rhubarb. Otherwise I find it makes by mouth feel queer - like my teeth are dropping out. I suppose it is the chemical in the rhubarb, but strawberries seem to neutralise it. I expect there is some scientific reason, which some clever member will manage to point out. Dont all rush now

Hi Jenny, no, can,t add anything to that. I suppose something in the strawberries must neutralise some of the acid in the rhuberb. Anyway, i'm just mailing you to say congrats on having a "grow your own" meal.
By the way, noticed you tend to post late at night. Are an insomniac as well?

Actually I saw that on a blog somewhere. Can't remember which plot blog it was, but I'm very tempted to give it a try I'm a total lightweight though, so it'll be more for my bf than for me.

                            hi Bramble
Yes I'm a bit of a late night poster. Sometimes it seems the only time of the day I get a bit of quiet! I sneek into the study to switch off the computer and then dial up the grapevine ..........
