  • Depressed?

Apparently today is the most depressing day of the year!
    - Bad weather, skintness, broken NYR's etc, etc,

I just wanted to send out some positive vibes to all you lovely folk...

Appreciate and love yourself in every moment you can.

Focus on the wonderful things in every person. Look for only those things.

Do not blame or criticize anybody, ever.

Set an intention that you are going to see the best in everything and everyone.

Free yourself of the responsibility of trying to make other people happy. Respect and love them enough to allow them to take care of their own happiness.

Do not expect others to behave in a way you want, so you will be happy. Release yourself forevermore and know that you alone control your happiness and it is a choice, no matter what anyone else is doing.

Love and appreciate everything and everyone, and especially yourself.

Make your happiness the number one thing in your life.

    Love to you all,
    Lainey xxx

I'm lucky - I don't do depressed. I often do jolly angry though!

Was feeling really down today, no particular reason although the last fifteen months has been very very stressful. Colleagues at work were great, caught onto my mood and did their best to lift it, but nothing has worked. Then I heard on TV that today is the most depressing day of the year, so it's not just me. That helped (a bit) as did thinking that if today is the worst day then tomorrow has to be better. This time of the year is never great for me, and the weather recently has not helped. Looking forward to Spring. To everyone else out there who is feeling down - hang on in there, everyone keeps telling us things will get better - let's hope so.

Surely the sky has to empty some time? Just wish it would choose to do the worst of it over the sea!!

One nice thing yesterday (as I drove home listening to stock markets after plummeting, DH having put in an order for share purchase on Sunday and being away in the UK at a funeral) was that the clouds had lifted for a while and it was still bright when I collected the toddler from creche at 5pm!!

So spring is just around the corner.....

Thanks Lainey, right back at ya lady!

People mentioned this to me yesterday, and the way I looked at it - all I had to do was make it through yesterday, and if that was as bad as it got, the rest of the year can only get better?

                    Good karma to you all!

So we all still here then? Feelin' any better?

I like Flums "attitude of gratitude" theory,You can't be too miserable when you're counting your blessings and being grateful for what you have!

It's weird, for about the past week or so I've had that "waiting for a parcel to be delivered" feeling. (and before anyone says it, no, LadyWayne and I aren't about to make an announcement...)

Restlessness? Waiting for something transformational?, or is it just waiting for your spuds to arrive?

I dunno, just weird feeling. Haven't bought/ordered any spuds yet, maybe that's it...

Feels very strange though whatever it is.
