  • Compost Queen & Manure Man

My whole life has been spent waiting for an epiphany, a manifestion of God's presence, the kind of transcendent, magical experience that lets you see your place in the big picture. And that is what I had with my first heap.
Bette Midler, 'Los Angeles "Compost Queen", Los Angeles Times, May 1996'

As far as rites of passage go, it must rank up there with my first kiss or being given my first razor. I'd even go as far as saying that it's more life-changing than reaching the age of eighteen, or getting my driving licence. Yes, as a slow-life-craving twenty-six-year-old, I eventually gave in to buying manure.
Al Milway, Anything But Sprouts Blog

See, I love these two quotes

Imagination is everything, it is a preview of what is to become.
