So sorry to read the posting Percy. Try to take comfort in that you had 16 years of honest company from your cat. And also that what goes around comes around... Those little s**ts will get theirs. Eventually. But still remember the good times with your moggy! Be strong mate, we are all with you.

But you are all correct, we are but mere servants to our feline masters and mistresses! T-Rex just sits by his bowl looking at you (making you feel guilty) when he expects feeding. Which is tooooo regularly! There is a chance we might be moving to NL in the summer and as much as he leaves so much fur lying about the place, drools over the furniture, throws up all over the place after gobbling his nosh too fast and has ripped our leather and oak sofa to shreds I would hate to have to leave him behind.
    Let's go diggin' dirt....

Big silver bird, come land low and slow
Cut your engines, cool your wings,
    You've taken me home...

My heart and soul are hurting for you Percy, I thought I had found my cat dead beside the road on tuesday, convinced it was mine, floods of tears with my friend next door when in walked my little cat. words fail.
But much sadness at the loss of a sweet little kitty, love goes to its human family too.
I hate to think what I would have done if I had got hold of the hateful kids.....I am sure I would have ended up in jail, a price worth paying
my love to you Percy x

I can't bring myself to own another cat.People say they are independant but really they are far too vulnerable.
I am so sorry your cat's life ended in this way.I dare say he only had a short time left to him but far better he passed away in his bed or peacefully at the vets.
Nothing more I can say except I have had two cats die on the road--and that was in a quiet street--and one at the hand of a disgruntled gardener,so I grieve with you.
