What sort of anti-spam filter are you using?

Don't ever reply to the emails - not even to be removed - the address to be removed is often identical to the 'I want to subscribe' address, quite deliberate, so if you reply you are 'accepting' in terms of your filter and will get the things forever.

Completely agree here. By replying, all you are doing is confirming that it's a valid, active email address
