I wish we used all our green spaces, including gardens for growing veg for the community maybe this will get people involved in the community more. Bring on green roofs, dig up car parks and plant a row of onions in a crater formerly known as Tesco. I must admit when I see any waste land my temptation is to plant things there.
    Best wishes

Back to Guerilla Gardening! Except they mainly grow flowers. My son posted a question on here about growing veg in waste spaces and posted the same question to the GG forum. He got one reply there - and a couple of pages here. Says it all about this group, doesn't it?

He's just found that he's at the top of the list for a lottie so he mightn't need to attack the under-used flower beds after all. (He still might though!)

[QUOTE=Lady Jana Muck;168878]I was very disappointed with the knew programme. I really tried to watch it till the end but I was so bored.

I admit I nodded off when he got to the architects gardens. It made me laugh when the architect/guide (or was it Monty... can't remember) said that the garden was a bit overgrown now and wasn't how the architect had originally designed the garden to be seen. I thought that wall with the creepers tumbling down it was the best bit!! Give me a bit of dilapidation anytime - it gives a garden soul! The rest of it looked like a multi-storey carpark!!

Wow! Just watched it and I loved it, some of those gardens were amazing. Loved the music too, oh and Montys man bag!
Can't wait till sunday now to see the next one!

Yes! Gardens are brilliant visuals for meditations, I have a very beautiful garden in my head and I go there frequently, it's so calming. I aim to create something similar but on a smaller scale in my garden at home, shame about the footballs, scooters etc etc....

See, if I ever try this visualisation thing I tend to change my mind as it's forming so I never actually end up with a cohesive image.

With regards to Monty's Man-Bag, I spotted that too and have to say I'm rather jealous. I take my man-bag with me on holiday, so many things to carry!

                            It's repeated tonight at 7.00 p.m. on BBC2.

It looks as if the programme will originally be shown on Sunday, and repeated Tuesday.
