  • Do you consider yourself a neophyte?

I use a website - dictionary.com and ever day they have a "word of the day". Today's word is "neophyte".

    neophyte \NEE-uh-fyt\, noun:
    1. A new convert or proselyte.
    2. A novice; a beginner in anything.

    I'm a gardening neophyte.
A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

Practise makes us a little better, it doesn't make us perfect.

I don't want to be a 'neophyte'. It sounds like one of those predatory bugs you get for the greenhouse.
I you'st to have a handle on the world .. but it BROKE!!

I hesitate to put my name forward, but yes, it must be said, I am a neophyte when it comes to gardening! It sounds like some awful disease or affliction!

I've been gardening for over thirty years - grew my first veggies when I was 7 or 8 and never stopped since..... I can't be a neophyte

Can I be a prophet instead?
The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!
