Can you wait that long? or do you count Friday as the week end?
I'm rationed (quite rightly) so I might manage a couple of pints on Saturday?
And anyway I can't drink like I used to.

          • Having trotted off to nmy cd collection.....

Bubblewrap - would you believe that out of 22 cd's (all Vivaldi) and a few others with misc baroque pieces (inc Vivaldi) the ones you mentioned are not there. The closest La Tempesta di Mare RV433 - but in title only I suspect. Although not of a religious bent - I simply love the choral works Gloria in D RV589 and Beatus vir in C RV597.

The Red Priest, as he was known, wrote many hundreds of pieces and it was only once I saw them available on the cheaper Naxos label I realised just how vast a selection was avaliable. Must look and see if there is a new catalogue - I've not bought any newies for several years.

            • As tempting it would be to choose one of many Bob Marley tracks i love, it would have to be
The Smiths with "There is a light that never goes out".CLASSIC !

                    • Okay, I've given this a lot of thought.

Pink Floyd 'Wish You Were Here' (for late at night, sitting in the dark..)

REM 'Losing My Religion' (just because..)

Kaiser Cheifs 'Ruby' (turned up loud in the car..)

and Ray Charles 'Shake a Tail Feather' (for when I've had a few and there's a Karaoke machine in the same room!!)

                      Ta Dah

                      • Just had a hugely entertaining session showing DD1 how mummy used to ska dance in the olden days

                        This is my fave:

YouTube - Madness - Night Boat To Cairo

Off to take some painkillers and fill up my hot water bottle now... lol!!!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

                        • Hadn't made the connection.

Judging from the short bio I would say no connection to Grateful Dead 'Garcia' - who may be Jerry?

This one has played with John Williams and Friends and Paco Penã including Glastonbury - also Edinburgh, Aldeburgh and South Bank festivals. He was born in Hong Kong - if that confirms it?

                              • Oh wow - Phillippe Jaroussky has a quite extraordinary voice - if listening blind you'd not realise it was a male voice. Lovely!

Wasn't aware there was quite so much classical music on you-tube - will investigate further over the next few days.

                                Many thks for the links.
