Wellie, could I beg the recipe for the honey and thyme chicken (it was scrummy) and whatever you did to those sossies was incredible - please could you let me in on the secret? I had to restrain myself hugely or I would have scoffed the lot!!

Thanks again for your hospitality and we would love to visit again - maybe when the weather is better and I don't have to worry about feeding my darned horseys!
    Happy Gardening,
    Shirley

No probs Shirley, I'll post the recipes up in Season To Taste section of the forum.
Trousers must 'take a bow' for the idea with the cocktail sausages tho', because after we'd baked the glaze on the Ham, took the ham out of the roasting tray and poured off the glaze to save (for roasting potatoes or the like in next week maybe?), and Wellie couldn't be arsed to make cheesy scone pastry to wrap said sausages in to form Nigella's Pigs in Blankets, he suggested tipping it over them and serving 'on sticks'.
Which seemed a cracking good idea to Wellie....

        Home again!!

Thankyou "et al" for a really, really super day. Thankyou Shelley and Paul for being superb hosts and I love, love, love your beautiful home.

I will meet you all again. I intend (have always intended) to have a party when my house is in order. Grapes invited, although you may have to mix with the hoi polloi of the rest of my life .

You see? It wasn't too nerve-wracking meeting us now, was it?!

Belated? I thought his birthday is tomorrow. Unless he's like royalty and has two birthdays - an official one and an actual one. Perhaps the Grapes meet was ACTUALLY Trousers' official birthday party
