I hope this comes across in the right way - but I wasn't at all nervous, I honestly don't get nervous meeting new people, I thrive on it - hope that doesn't sound too well you know
as for talking for Britain - not me gov, nooo not me
Yeah, but that's just you, innit?
D'you know, I didn't say, but you were wot I expected too, hon... and DO take that the right way....!
Only through meeting new folks can we better ourselves I think. Wasn't nervous either! But ladies, I had to stick to the blokes y'know!! Hanging about in the conservatory wiv da girlies might have raised eyebrows!! Far prettier company maybe, but us blokes had to support the kitchen shelves... Drinking the pink bubbles and mixing with the girlies would I suppose keep me in touch with my feminine side!
Besides... I would have been outnumbered. And it was fun listening to Trousers delinquent past. Ahhhh, if only I had such freedom granted with motorbikes and shotguns... But boarding school prohibited such activities.
Anyway, it was a memorable event and Wellie... It has only made me realise moreso that I have to get outta this rat race I am in and go home to be wiv da Rimmer crew! But be able to pay the mortgage as well! I thank you not only for your lovely hospitality, your fine cooking and creating a situation where Shirley and I met fellow grapes, but also for the subtleties and positive consequences of going to your home. The atmosphere was just so positive, relaxing and welcoming. No doubt in your new home this aura will once more be radiated...
Let's go diggin' dirt....
Big silver bird, come land low and slow
Cut your engines, cool your wings,
You've taken me home...
I found the comment that I had a fund of interesting stories made me feel like the "little old lady" who talks about her past. As I loved listening to my grandmother's stories that isn't a problem.
Hope I didn't offend you JanieB - it was me that made the comment. I loved meeting all the grapes and would love to have the chance to 'delve deeper' into some of the topics that we touched on. You mentioned a few things that made me feel there was a lot more to you than people initially see.
I had a couple of nervous moments when we arrived at Holly Cottage and saw everyone looking out at us but then I realised that I already 'knew' everyone from the vine. It was a wonderful experience and Madmax and I must try to kick our garden into enough shape to invite those of you with a sense of adventure and love of travel to a 'garden' party in the summer (no promises yet though).

I take it as a compliment that you found me to be 'wot you expected', it (to me) means that I portray the really Suzie (Piskie, will you please shut up for a minute) online - oh and I'm as transparent as clingfilm - wot ya see is all there is
*wishes for to be an enigmatic, glamorous, sophisythingy girlie for a mo
Piskie, I really thought you were a 20/30 something, small, dark haired, sort of gothy person.
Hey ho ..............
I imagined a little 30 year old very humorous and petite type person. Mischievous, talkative and funny. Of course Piskie, maybe this shows the kind of mind set & character I have. But vociferous... Never!!!
Nothing wrong with transparency and cling film m'dear...!! wrap Shirls up in it all the time!

I wasn't. I saw JanieB and Hazel look out of the conservatory windows as we arrived, so I started to point at them and snigger. Like a peurile teenager would.
Well, I had to get my own back... most folks point and laugh at me!!
