I'm quite a light sleeper anyway, but I'm worse when it's windy. I'm paranoid about the trees by the side of our house and the oak at the bottom of our garden (which I'm sure would hit the house should it topple). They really sway when the wind really gets going.

My two little mini-greenhouses have ended up accross the garden on a few occasions, so last weekend I had a couple of spare paving slabs, and put them on the bottom shelf of each, and they've stayed put so far....

Luckily only the contents of onion sets (placed on the staging) dispersed on the patio floor and rest were just strawberries in window boxes on the floor (all intact). Glad that it happend so that I know this in future. Don't think I'd feel safe with young plants although have tied the greenhouse to a hanging basket bracket.
My B & Q greenhouse was on its side when OH went down to feed the chooks today. Thankfully thats all that has been damaged, and luckily I had no plants in it, have been using it to store straw bales for the chooks bedding. He's weighted it down flat on the floor. I'll put it back up secure it tomorrow.

Well today we have had howling gales, clear blue sky & sunshine (still darn cold), hailstones, rain & snow and its only quarter to three! Anything else going to be thrown at us!?!
