I was waiting at the traffic lights yesterday when a van was coming towards me - clearly being driven by what I thought was a 10 year old.
I was seriously going to call the rozzers and was trying to see the licence plate number; when I realised that it wasn't actually a 10 year old; it was just a young lad of 17+ - it's just that they look so young these days - and yes; I am now officially old now that I did that double take.
I would rather be old able to afford to buy all these new fangled technological advances, than be young and desperate to have one just because my friends have one.
AND
In our day, things came around that actually changed the way other things were viewed; whereas now everything has been done; there are very few frontiers to cross.
That's my philosophy and Im sticking with it.
Kids these days don't even know what vinyl records are and what to do with them; very very sad.
I'm old enough to remember walking home from a school dance after President Kennnedy was assasinated.
I was 16 and drying my hair (in plastic rollers) in front of a three bar electric fire when my sister told me he'd been assassinated.
