Cavatina
Knights in White Satin
Seasons in the sun (sometimes, othertimes it just comes across as cheesy)
Fire and Rain (especially if I try to sing along)
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
Foo Fighters - 'My Hero' which I've always loved, but it became especially poignant when we thought we were going to lose Pops, and it came on in the car as i was driving home from the hospital. I had to pull over, couldn't see a thing for ages. Makes me snivel every time I hear it now.
This one will always make me cry now. Didn't hear it before last week when my sister posted it on facebook. It was played and sung today at Brad's funeral by a relative of his Dad. Its fantastic, quite simply.
So Many, here's just a few:-
Kenny G - Song Bird
Acker Bilk - Stranger On The Shore (reminds me of my dad)
The Cars - Drive (It's the face of Band Aid)
Albinoni - Adagio in G minor (Theme of Gallipoli)
Debussy - Chair de lune
The Calling - Where ever you will go
Joni Mitchell- Both Sides Now
UB40 - Can't Help Falling In Love With You!
Theres so many songs, there just isn't enough space on here..
Cant believe no-ones gone for taps..you know the bugle one they play at American funerals. Even when I know its coming I still cant stay dry-eyed.
Oh and Lonestars version of Amazed cos it came out just after Id split from my partner of nine years. It wasnt missing him but just that feeling of 'It'll never happen to me, being so loved' (till I met Al 4 yrs later and we're two bits that make a whole)
And Baker Street..that sax..wow
And that old kids song about humpty backed camels, where they didnt bring the unicorns
Anyone who says nothing is impossible has never tried slamming a revolving door
I like a nice upbeat song myself, I even find 'Everybody Hurts' REM a wonderfully uplifting number, however, I do get a bit gulpy to 'And I love her' The Beatles, coz its our song, and I cried like a lunatic at a friends birthday party when 'Angels' Robbie Williams was played (I'd drunk far too much!!).

I wouldn't recognise 'taps' unless it is the same as we call "the last post" (same purpose). That should have been included.
Yeah, I know the kids' one you mean, dunno what it's called.
