  • WE WOOPT Ya

26 to 19 Twickenham is still revebrating to the sounds of "Hen wlad fy
nhadau" Loud enough to silence that Pesky Piskieinboots. The Chariot swung to low and bit the dust Cymru am Byth.

Mmmm, you won but certainly didnt whup us, short memories since we really whupped you 65 -6 in August. Winning once in 20 years at Twickenham is nothing to celebrate. You can do that when you win there regularly.

Well done to the Welsh though, they were the better team in the second half and deserved their win. James Hook was superb. The whole team were better when some none Ospreys like Gethin Jenkins came on.

      Care to translate Grandpadragon?
Could ask sister or nephew (both welsh speakers)

Well done to Wales, but I don't consider it a whooping, nor do I consider myself silenced, one converted try in it is hardly a whooping now is it

And whilst we won't be GSing, there is still a very long to go so ner ner ner Grandpa. James Hook was a good call for MOTM

Just had to have a go as none of you gave us a chance and down here most were convinced that we could do it. Didn't think so at half time thou

To be fair here.... a toe-curlingly depressing run of errors by England in the last 10 minutes, gave the match to Wales.... rather than us being 'whoopt'. It is good to see a new Welsh team, but don't get carried away with the choirs in the valleys chum; it was hardly a drubbing nor could your coach have failed to select an improved team. I'm sure there might be the odd eyebrow raised about a couple of the ref's decisions too. I hardly feel English rugby has bitten the dust nor have Wales won the cup yet. Well played tho.

Be carefull- 3 matches does not a championship make. The "big" matches are still to come in my opinion.

So true Beefy, the Scots will be like a wounded Lion on next Saturday, and I thought the French were very impressive and will be very hard to beat.

The Lion wasn't wounded, it merely passed the shirt over to the car park attendents to give them a go in the second half!!

It took 'you' 19 years - I will let you enjoy it

Personally, I think it was the good old English Fair Play Award. Stop playing and let the rest catch up, so you don't beat them too resoundingly. Still went a bit pear-shaped though!

I would agree with France looking good even though the Scots disappointed me. I expected them to come out and fight a bit more, rather like the Welsh did. (Hook was brilliant!)

However, the Welsh will discover, just like we did in the World Cup, that pride can only take you so far. England didn't play badly, they just stopped playing in the second half. The saying "a game of two halfs" could never be more apt. If Wales are relying on that to win other games, they'll struggle.

So, this week's predictions (allowing for team injuries):-

Wales v Scotland - close to call, but I say Wales to win by only a couple.
France V Ireland - France to win by 10
Italy v England - England to win by 10

Don't go putting big money on these though, my last lot were way out!

Most important match this weekend - France v Ireland.
But who wins ? I really don't know - I hope its Ireland but I don't think there will be 10 points in it.
England to beat Italy with a big score .England will be out for a show of strength and to try and put the memory of Wales behind them and to settle the fans and critics.
Scotland v Wales - youve got to fancy Wales for this one after last weekend.
