            Hospical....

            And here's one to which really amuses me ( being medical....)

            Cervical...... pronounced Serve eye cul ....is the neck area
            pronounced Sir vi cl.... is the bits n bobs us wimin have

            You would chuckle if you heard the number of male personal injury lawyers who get that wrong when talking about whiplash injuries!!!!

                  There is a town near Loughborough called Whitwick it is pronouced Whit-ick

                        As I've been on here OH has been watching the Channel 4 news. He's just come in to tell me about the US election primaries (yaaaaaaaaaawn).

                        He didn't know the candidate, but the bit that 'got him' was the candidate in question was going to be 'CORONATED' as the candidate. What's wrong with crowned!!?????

                        It's like when an American property has bee 'burglarised'. What's wrong with burgled?
