OOh! I'm sure I'm REALLY grumpy on this subject!!
O.K, so here are just a couple for now.
I can't stand it when people refer to Valentines Day as Valentimes Day.
Also, my current bug-bear is people referring to an adaption rather than an adaptation; the woman introducing the next program on the TV said it recently, as did one of my teaching colleagues!
As far as speech goes, my school children are still learning, but the number of times they write a 'f' sound instead of a 'th' sound, and all because of mispronounciation. That goes for 'v's as well: "fankyou for vu sweets; I sherd (shared) vum wiv my frend."
