  • How rude

I had my asparagus delivered today it was dispatch on 24-48 hr on thurs 31so not only was it 5 days late the delivery man opened my front door and put it in my sitting room. I was in the kitchen a didn't hear the door (stood next to the kettle boiling.) But instead of knocking louder he just walked in right there with my 2yr old twins, put the parcel down and left. I heard the door close and thought the kids were making a break for it went to look and found a box and i was spose to sign for it to.

I hope you've complained to the company and their courier service!!! I know it's *unlikely* but that could have led to all manner of unpleasantness
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

What a cheek!! You going to name and shame the courier? I had passports returned by FedEx last year and they left them on my neighbour's doorstep, with no signature!!

If you didn't sign - its not delivered . Ring up and demand where and when is it coming. Buy one get one free

That's utterly appalling and just plain ignorant. It doesn't matter who you are, you don't just waltz into someone's house!!! I hope you worded your complaint strongly and I personally wouldn't let up until you're satisfied that it's been dealt with.

Now you know why you should keep your doors locked, even though you are 'in'. I had a similar experience some years ago, and since then have made sure all external doors are locked!!!

I have a lot of stuff delivered by Lynx for work. Usually they're very efficient but it only takes one to let the side down. If there's any problem I make sure Lynx know who caused it. If it's not delivered correctly, then I havn't received it!

See a previous thread. I paid for next day delivery a couple of weeks ago. The company didn't say that this needed a signature. So a week later I picked up the parcel myself from the depot. Have they refunded the difference in cost. No, 'cos I wasn't there to sign for the parcel. I GO OUT TO WORK.

They have a bl**dy nerve (yours and mine).

Could the courier have left it on your doorstep & a neighbour put the parcil in your lounge?

What ever made him/her think that they could walk into your home????
It would have been only slightly better if they had opened your door just a little and popped it just inside. To walk into someones house like that.....from his standing...what if you now accused him/her of taking/attacking or worse! surely the delivery people would not want to put them selves in a vulnerable position either. It's madness which ever way you view it!
                            Sorry this has happened sam04

My local courier (Home Delivery Network) opens the door & puts parcel in all the time. I don't mind, as I'm quite familiar with him, but I don't think I'd like it if it was a stranger doing it. Mind you, neither would they as Paddy would almost certainly frighten the life out of them!

So a couple of weeks later than intended, work has commenced on my anti-ratty tunnel today.

Dismantling the existing structure was a lot harder than I expected, a lot of stuck screws that no amount of WD-40 would liberate! So a lot of action for my sharp mate Stanley, my hand axe and my...
