Will we need an "entertainment" budget Snadger? Sounds like a plan.

Lucky you lot with fine warm weather - t shirts are not yet an option here (except as an extra layer between the vest and jumper!!). We've had lots of rain over the past couple of weeks, and I am actually debating taking the first dryish day that we get off so that I can start on some digging......

Yes isn't it just, the weather behaving so much like last year. Oh no, please no ! So that's rain, rain, rain from whole of May to whole of July. Should we be thinking about protecting our veggies (from overwatering) with big sheet of clear plastic ?Food for Free

Our lottie's water isn't supposed to be turned on until April 1st, and usually it's a few days after that. Last year it was the 11th as the chap who came out to do it initially brought the wrong key. The trouble was that by that point we'd been desperate for water for weeks, the butts were empty and we'd even started to carry containers of it up from home. On June 25th this area was hit by the worst flooding in living memory, my OH always takes the last two weeks in June as holiday, we take camping trips, we do the lottie, we book these two weeks because the weather's normally reliable and we get the longest days. What a washout that was! We're booked for those two weeks again, but are now hoping we wouldn't have been better off taking them in February.Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
