  • I feel really bad

Yesterday I decided to start some seeds off (asparagus, tomatoes that came with GYO, chillies and some basil) in my new propagator plugged in, in the shed.

Anyway, following on from the thread about cleaning pots I thought I'd better give my vending-cup pots a bit of a rinse. So, I went into the shed and picked up the bucket that was sat on top of the bikes. Had a quick look inside to see what I'd have to clean out and to my horror (made me jump at least) there was a dead mouse at the bottom of the bucket

The poor beggar must've fallen in and obviously was unable to get back out again. From now on all my large recepticles are stored upside down.

    Sorry mouse.

    HW i'm sorry
I know how you feel. One day I found 3 dead bird chicks in a plot holders water butt.....we now have a rule.......all butts must be covered. I will always stand pots 'up side down' from now on. thanks for the tip! I would be so upset to find the same thing.

A rule I try to follow too!

Same thing with deep holes in the soil, ground beetles fall in and can't get out - or is that just me?

No, No Heywayne, you're quite wrong you know....
The mouse had been out for a spin on your bike, had a sumptuous lunch and was just sleeping it off in your bucket.
        Feel better now?

He he. In my haste to get rid of it, I obviously failed to note that it was in fact the Ploughmans eating lesser spotted lankymouse from Moldovia.

Thanks for clearing that up for me wellie, I owe ya!

Now, to fetch Mr Lankymouse out from the bin...

Cold & frosty here again this morning. Cat's not too impressed..... makes her paws cold when she has to go out for a splash'n'dash. We only got up a short while ago ourselves Shirley! on account of the fact that BC was growelling most of the night at neighbour's cats trying to eat her food.
Hope today's a better day for you. X

How was your day Heywayne? Rodent Killer. Kill any Rats yesterday!?

Cold and frosty here today as well, but I love it, its just soooo pretty and healthy somehow!

Dont do rats, mice are cuddly but only as long as they stay in their space and leave my space to me and Moggs!

Shirl - hope you're feeling better today?

Wellie - hope BC got some breakkie in the end?

Oh, and just for the record, in case anyone's counting, I'm a size 4 or 5, not too fussy hehe
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance
