For some reason my crops at that end of my plot seem to grow better than the ones further away. Can't for the life of me think why!?
Same happens on mine but there is a prevailing easterly wind one end of the lottie is better sheltered.
The lotties over the other side of the site seem to do better than mine see map?
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

There are map sites with more up to date maps, but I'm not sure how easy it is to set up a "group" map. Now that most people have added themselves to the map I started at the beginning of this thread I daren't suggest another one like this: Live Local Search
The birds eye view thing is great (where it works!).
That looks a lot better map, but i had all on trying to get on the other , will give it a try tomorrow

As I mentioned on an earlier post the satellite view of my lottie is only about 18 months old you can even see our car parked outside our house(on Burder street)
The views on multi map(of the same area) are at least 6 years old

1st you must have a google account - open the map and try signing in - top right. When you've signed in/created an account reopen the map.
Type your address or post code in the search bar - click 'search maps'
This should zoom you to where you 'grow' or live.
Under where it says 'google maps uk' click on the tab that says 'My maps' (so you put your pin in the main map where evryone else is).
On the left hand menu (to the right of HWs piccy) click 'edit'
On the map (top left) click on the blue pin (looks like a balloon) and then drag it to where you want it to be, click again to 'set' it.
A box appears - type your details in the Title (and description if you like) then click Okay.
Back on the left hand menu (near HW's piccy) click Save, then click Done.
SBP, thanks for all your time and efforts trying to make someone thicker than a whale omelette do simple things.
I followed your steps for putting my abode on the map, and I have no doubt that anyone competent would have no troubles whatsoever in marking their plots/homes with a little pin.
As I'm clearly not competent I couldnt do it.
I think its a great idea, and I have loved looking at everyone elses but I am now officially sulking and shant be attempting to add mine again for a week or so

Life's disappointments are so much harder to take if you don't know any swear words.
