If you don't give them a choice, then Google Maps will either stand or fall!
To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower

If you want truly up to date maps, have a look here: Flash Earth ...satellite and aerial imagery of the Earth in Flash Look at the NASA ones - can't zoom in very far, and you need good weather to see anything at all.

I wasn't suggesting that any map site was the ideal solution, it was just an idea that needs some refining and an expert touch, maybe to be a feature of the forum as marialittlebzz suggested.

Bit of fun though either way.
This is has a newer picture of mine, still pre - me though! Brilliant pictures though!! And YES! it is fun, well done you!

I'm guessing it's a bit dank up there given your choice of symbol?

              • Actually, it's really nice at the moment, but generally, yes, it errs on the side of moist! I am surrounded by peat bog after all!

                • Thanks for the newer links HW, it's amazing to see so clearly! I'll have to stick with the Google Map though, as I really can't figure the other one out.
Anyway, I can see where you all are, and get an idea of your plots, etc. It's more than I could do last week, and I think it's great. Hope it can be pinned somewhere prominent like marialittlebzz suggested

I've been having great fun looking at all the old married quaters I have lived in, it just goes to show how old the photos are I found one that was demolished 7 years ago!!!
The satellite photo of my lottie & area only about 18 months old.(I can tell by the state of the lottie)
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

Not sure, but I'd imagine she's not very well. That field is in fact a garden cemetery now.
