  • Grapevine map?

    Just a thought.

Is there any way that a "members map" could be created on the vine? Something like googlemaps, where other grapes could add their location/pin...

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

I was thinking something like this (hope it works...)

      Grape Map

You should be able to plug your postcode in and find your plot/garden/field and stick a pin in it.

Edit: I know I've mentioned the map thing before, but that was individual maps - I think this way it should allow the creation of a collective map so we can see at a glance where everyone is.

Sounds like a great idea, a members map would be brilliant!

I think so. I'll do a bit of investigative work, see if I can find something comparable which explains/shows what I'm talking about.

On another forum I'm on they use Frappr but I couldn't put a pin on that either because you need broadband and my uplink was too slow... it would be really great to be able to see where we garden/who's our neighbour sort of thing though.

Yeah, I changed the settings so that "anyone" could amend that map, but I think you do need a google/map account to do that. I was hoping for something a little easier to access. Still looking.

Looked at the frappr thing BW, but couldn't get the code to work on my blogger page for some reason.

                        Oh I love techie stuff.

I'm on OH's laptop at mo which for some reason doesn't accept my google account password. I'll go on the PC later and put a couple of pins in the map.

                          Another great idea Heywayne

Just been on the big pooter and got my pin in now.
