  • Cool! Just added my lottie - now I'm trying to work out how old the photo is! I reckon August 2006, only a few weeks after we got the lottie (even though the watermark on the map says 2007) - one of the beds has been covered in cardboard to suppress weeds, and you can just make out the green plastic tool store we bought cheap in Sainsbury's, but there's no sign of the permealay that we put down later in the year. I think the other dark blur might be rhubarb

      • Not to be too nurdy by the photo of my area was taken on a weekday between 12 - 1pm.

        Atleast a year ago.

How do I know...well my Mrs Car is in the School carpark and as she is a dinnerlady she is only there 12-1. and my shed is not on my plot and that went up last year.

          • I've just plotted mine. It's nice to be able to locate other members. I must confess I didn't find it very easy.

              Grapes Maps

1st you must have a google account - open the map and try signing in - top right. When you've signed in/created an account reopen the map.

Type your address or post code in the search bar - click 'search maps'
This should zoom you to where you 'grow' or live.
Under where it says 'google maps uk' click on the tab that says 'My maps' (so you put your pin in the main map where evryone else is).
On the left hand menu (to the right of HWs piccy) click 'edit'
On the map (top left) click on the blue pin (looks like a balloon) and then drag it to where you want it to be, click again to 'set' it.
A box appears - type your details in the Title (and description if you like) then click Okay.
Back on the left hand menu (near HW's piccy) click Save, then click Done.

That should be you added to the Grapes Map?
Here's an old post on the thread.

                      • Well, I stuck the pin in last week, but does anyone know how to get a http link specific for my plot so i can paste it into my signature below? The http address seems static whenever you mooch around the grapevine group so must be group and not pin specific. If ya get my meaning.

DOH, missed that! Ours take quarters Wayne - they are American machines and we have neglected to convert them to UK coinage.

Also, don't think the 50p existed when the jukeboxes were made in the '50s

                          • Yay, my plot on the google map has been updated. I still didn't have it then so mine is still bare, though I think that it was just about a month before I took it on. Last summer I reckon if I go by my house image. At least it's 9 months or so out of date rather than 6 years! It's so much clearer an image too, I can almost see the veg . Only a minute or two down the road they haven't updated it yet though so they must be doing it slowly.
