Sometimes both my cats will stare (eyes wide) at a corner of a room or at the door/window/ceiling etc. always when I am on my own....spooks me every time....what can they see that I can't????

A few years ago (when we were about to redo the kitchen) Madmax and I came in to find Ludo (dog) floating round the kitchen in his basket with an expression of 'I don't know how this happened' on his face. He had chewed through the water pipe to the fridge which had been exposed when said fridge was relocated for the kitchen work. His face was so comical we couldn't tell him off. Also, all the water spraying round the walls helped loosen the grotty old wallpaper!

yes thanks recoverd, had a few glasses of wine and chilled out watching telly b4 going to bed.

One of our cats (Bubble and Squeak - ok I got them when they were kittens, one was fluffy and the other 'talked) started NAGGING me, intermittently and persistently. I have no idea what he wants half the time - not food, not to go out, not to let his brother in, I just don't know. Had begun to wonder if he was poorly, although he looked well and was eating like a pig, when he stopped.
Guess I'll have it again at the next Full moon (or something).

i had the same the other night but i found a vase cut straight in half and on the floor now that was scary and i have no cats to blame. needles to say i slept with my head under the quilt all night

Loud bang in kitchen!
Dog runs out of kitchen and hides under table!
I went into kitchen, looked around and couldn't see anything amis!
Puzzled.
Dog still shaking under table.
Eventually noticed tiny beads of glass on floor, Lots of beads of glass on gas cooker.
Oops! Realised I'd left gas ring on 'low' with Pyrex dish on top.

Poor little dog, I think I'd have been shaking under the table as well lol

Nice to see you back among us Madderbat. Our cat T-Rex, always likes to go out to watch fireworks - he is not bothered by them in the least and seems to like the lights.

i dont care how big and brave people think they are when it comes to bumps in the night everyone hides under the quilt. i axe muderer could be in your room but once your under the quilt your safe and he carnt get you

my cat has fallen into our fishtank trying to get fish from it on a number of occasions. cats are a bloody nightmare unless you are sat with them armed with a spray bottle :-)

This is so true. I've never been able to understand all these 'brave' women in the horror flicks who immediately go and investigate the minute they think they hear something. They usually end up either scared silly or dead or (most often) both, when if they'd just hidden under the quilt nothing bad could have happened. EVERYONE knows this. The only exception is if your partner is handy - then you can send him to look, - but if alone, hide. These horror movie women are not brave they are just stupid.
